Event Planning 101: You Think You Know, But You Have No Idea!

Just a reminder!

Tomorrow (Wednesday, December 2) marks the date of our December Mass Member Meeting, Event Planning 101: You Think You Know, But You Have No Idea! The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. in EP 220 (IU School of Journalism).

We will take you in to the life of Valerie Peña, executive director and chief of staff for the Office of Public Affairs and Government Relations at Indiana University, to learn the glamorous and not so glamorous parts being professional event planner. Prior to IU, Valerie Worked at the Oliver Wine Co. Her responsibilities have included business planning and management, marketing, public relations, product development and government affairs. Prior to joining Oliver, she was executive director of the Bloomington/Monroe County Convention and Visitor Bureau for 16 years.

We will also discuss how to access PRSSA’s national job and internship database, which is EXCLUSIVE to PRSSA members.
